Environment
The JIRA Client 1.5.3 with bundled JRE version 1.6.0_13.

Platform:

  • xorg-x11 1.5.2
  • Linux 2.6.27.25 x86-32
  • ratpoison 1.4.5 window manager

Problem

Solution

JIRA Client does not run at full screen size in a window manager.

Switch to the unbundled JRE version of JIRA Client and move a system to 1.6.0_15 JRE.

New Issue dialog fields are blank and when closing a window a dialog appears asking if you want to save changes.
Pointer is dislocated.
Maximizing JIRA Client window . Set: is not maximized.

The reason for these problems is that Motif libraries are not installed on the system. To do so, set AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit in the environment and install Lesstif.
