Connection is a link to a remote JIRA server. You can create a connection in JIRA Client when starting it for the first time in the Welcome to JIRA Client window or any time later selecting File | Connection Manager and File | New JIRA Connection commands.
After a connection is created, it is displayed in the Navigation Area and marked with a connection icon . You can have one or several connections configured in JIRA Client:
To work more efficiently in JIRA Client, we recommend you to limit the number of projects you are connected to. This will help to lower the bandwidth and consume less memory and CPU resources.
